Scenario
CCTV Focus Ltd was approached by Marlborough Junior School (MJS) to provide a Quotation for their school premises. At the time, they had no video surveillance in place. They wish to improve their Child Safeguarding position and potentially improve their Ofsted result by procuring a surveillance system that can monitor and evidence the entry and exit at the front gates and protect children and staff.
The system will also be used to: · monitor deliveries and record evidence of suppliers causing road blocks through illegal parking when delivering supplies. · to protect the refuse area that had been vandalised on numerous occasions.
The school management wanted to implement a high definition system to ensure detail is not lost through poor resolution.
Areas such as the front gates, playground and school corridors needed to be covered minimising blind spots wherever possible.
A construction company was on site also to build an extension to the school. Strict Health & Safety procedures needed to be adhered to and a thorough Risk Assessment conducted as well as a minimum £10 million Public & Efficacy Liability Insurance in place. |
Solution
We procured the contract through our professional approach, initial service performance and competitive quotation.
We provided a 32 IP 4-megapixel camera system in and around the school strategically placed in order to maximise coverage ensuring all vulnerable areas are covered.
We worked alongside the construction company through strong communication via daily morning briefs and updates when required.
All areas of concern were provided with adequate coverage. This resulted in reassured s taff and contributed to an improved OFSTED result through the Child Safeguarding Initiative.
We are also responsible for the maintenance of the system for the following 2 Years at least. |
